Our Committee was re-elected on the 12th of June 2009.

We, as a Committee, do our best to make the Ukrainian Society vibrant, friendly and productive.

We are people from various backgrounds, with different visions, but we all share the same goal – contributing to the welfare of Ukraine and our people, sharing the extraordinary culture of Ukrainians and building bridges among people and communities around the globe.

The Team coordinates Society's everyday activities and represents the Society on all official occasions. Here are the people who devote their time and passion to make our goal come true.

Vice President - Anton Symkovych, as525(at)cam.ac.uk

Our Vice President comes from the sunny region of Transcarpathia in Ukraine. Anton is the only member of the Society who has experience оf both the Ukrainian and English prisons. He justifies this by research purposes – but who really knows… When not in prison, Anton tends to embark on around-the-globe voyages or row for all clubs in the vicinity of Cambridge. When time permits, he writes a PhD thesis about power relations in prison. Our Vice President is also a member of CU Hispanic Society Committee.

Anton’s role is to help Lyuda in her uneasy role of the President, as well as to carry the burden of a leadership when the President is away or unavailable. Our Vice President also deals with the legal and PR issues of the Society, as well as extends cooperation with other Ukrainian and student organisations in Cambridge and far beyond.
